If you’re going to Myanmar, I’d strongly recommend adding U Bein Bridge to your itinerary.
Before our excursion, we started with a good lunch including more delicious salads —Omelette Salad:
Herb Salad of cilantro and sawtooth herb with roasted peanuts:
Banana Leaf Salad:
And my favourite dessert yet — Fried Bananas in Mandalay Rum Caramel:
And then out to walk U Bein Bridge in the late afternoon sun. The bridge is the world’s longest teak bridge (at 1.2km long), as well as the oldest (built in 1850). I walked across half of it and the view was divine:
And then down a flight of stairs to enjoy the view of the bridge by boat:
At this point, we got to watch the sunset over Taungthaman Lake:
We finished the day with Campari cocktails, clinking Chakwa!!! (“Cheers!!!”)
What an amazing life you lead!May life love you for living in the moment.Monika
