I’ve got a new learning experience going on over here: I know how to cook, but I’m new to meat. So I’m surrounding myself with new recipes and inspirations, and learning how to cook all sorts of new-to-me omnivorous options! Around here, we have a few meals that have become staples in our weeknight rotation: […]
Ok, for one last blast of summer entertaining, you need to make these. I hosted a Pampered Chef party this summer, along with my Mum and my friend Heather, where we made these amazing appetizers. And they are the easiest and most-impressive little delicious nibbles. So now you get the recipe! We used nectarines, green […]
So earlier this week, I picked up a bag of kelp noodles (the Sea Tangle brand, if you’re wondering), and stuck them in the fridge. “What the heck are kelp noodles????“, you may be asking? Well, they are just like they sound. They’re made from kelp (seaweed) and have no taste of their own, so […]
Two gorgeously fresh and leafy heads of baby bok choy showed up in my veggie box yesterday, and I immediately knew what was for dinner: Stirfry! My favourite fillings include the veggie chili, cheese, low-fat sour cream, chipotles, and guacamole. Mmmmm.
You know what I love? Enchiladas. They have become a staple around my house since I made my Kale & White Bean Enchiladas. I’ve had enchiladas on the weekly rotation ever since, mixing it up a little by adding poblano peppers to the tomatillo & onion mixture when I’ve got them on hand. I thought […]
I adore roasted cauliflower. Tossed with olive oil, and salt and pepper, and left in a hot (425 F) oven for 20 minutes… perfection. And because they’re bite-sized, you can call them “Cauliflower Poppers” and feel like you’re having a real treat. I also adore anything “mole” (pronounced “moh-lay”). The mole combination of chocolate and […]
